Bracken County Equine Trails

The Bracken County Industrial Authority is proud to announce the opening of the Bracken County Equine and Pedestrian Trails at the county Industrial Park.  There are 20 miles of freshly cut trails, which opened September 6, 2014.

 

The trails are available for horseback riding and walking/hiking.  They offer the chance for visitors to experience the wonderful nature and wildlife Bracken County has to offer.    

 

Prohibited Items:

 

Motorized vehicles, not limited to ATVs, dirt bikes, go-carts or other motorized equipment are strictly prohibited.  The site is monitored and violators will be prosecuted accordingly. 


Only emergency vehicles/personnel on duty are exempt from this rule.

 

Pets including, but not limited to, dogs are prohibited from the trails.

 

Mountain biking is also prohibited from the trails.

 

The trails are "use at your own risk."

Pricing:

 

Walking/hiking is free.

 

Bridle path tags are available!

 

          Bracken Co. Residents:  $15

          Non-residents:               $20

          Day Pass:                       $5

 

The resident and non-resident passes are good for the rest of the 2014 season and the entire 2015 season.  The day passes are on an honor system that can be purchased at the park.  

 

There is ample parking at the trailhead for cars, trucks and horse trailers.

Hennessey Trail Walking Path

 

Established in 2024, this crushed rubber walking path honors Magistrate Clark Hennessey for his dedicated and humble 42 years of service to the citizens of Bracken County.  It offers a great exercise option around a beautiful pond.
